CT SPURS KEEP SLIM SURVIVAL HOPES ALIVE WITH WIN OVER ROYAL AM
The victory saw the Capetonians close the gap to five points from 15th-placed Richards Bay FC. The Natal Rich Boys are in action on Wednesday against Polokwane City FC.
However, a win for Richards Bay will see them restore the eight-point gap with three matches left to finish the season.
CT SPURS HAS THREE VICTORIES IN THEIR LAST 10 LEAGUE MATCHES
CT Spurs’ struggles for consistency see them with only three victories in their last 10 league matches. They won against TS Galaxy, Richards Bay and Royal AM. Then they drew against Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC.
The five defeats they suffered were against Moroka Swallows, Chippa United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City. In addition, the Cape Town outfit has kept three clean sheets and conceded eight goals.
CAPE TOWN SPURS LAST THREE FIXTURES OF THE SEASON
The Urban Warriors’ last three matches of the season will be very difficult as they face teams they lost against in the reverse fixtures.
They have an away trip against sixth-placed SuperSport United, who are eyeing a CAF spot. Then, they will face top eight hopefuls Golden Arrows away. CT Spurs will then end their campaign at home against Kaizer Chiefs, who are aiming for a top-eight finish.
