Chippa United set to sign Seun Ndlovu from PSL newbies

Chippa United are set to sign ABC Motsepe National Playoffs Player of the Tournament Seun Ndlovu from Kruger United as the club continues to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

‘Tower’, as he is popularly known within the football circles, was rewarded [named the Player of the Tournament] for his stellar displays at the just-ended SAFA‘s ABC Motsepe National Playoffs held in Upington, Northern Cape.

The talented defender featured in all the games [four] for the Mpumalanga-based outfit during the national playoffs and played a key role in guiding Kruger to the finals.

Kruger secured promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship as they finished as one of the finalists at the national playoffs.

Sadly, Kruger succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Eastern Cape’s Highbury FC, coached by experienced mentor Kabelo Sibiya.

SEUN ‘TOWER’ NDLOVU ON HIS WAY TO GQEBERHA

According to a source close to this publication, Ndlovu left for Gqeberha today, and the player is expected to arrive in the Eastern Cape by the end of the day or tomorrow at the latest.

The Chilli Boys couldn’t resist what they saw in the promising star defender and opted to call him for assessment and conclude a deal with him.

Meanwhile, Chippa have also completed the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Giovanni Philander. Philander also featured at the 2023/24 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs for Western Cape’s FN Rangers.

The 24-year-old footballer emerged as one of the standout performers during the playoffs. Philander’s displays have been nothing short of impressive, showcasing his talent and undeniable impact on the field. The talented winger received praise from the opposition coaches for putting in a good shift for his side.

One of the coaches who praised Philander was Njampela FC coach Tshepo Motsoeneng, who described the player as a skilful player with the ability to cause problems for opponents.

“The boy is good. I have been watching him. I know how he plays. He can shoot from far away and kick with both legs,” said Motsoeneng during the national playoffs.
