FN Rangers duo join PSL side

FN Rangers duo of Zunaid Dollie and Dondre Gordon have completed their moves to the Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hungry Lions as the new season is edging closer.

Three weeks ago, FARPost reported that the players were being assessed by the Postmasburg-based outfit following their stellar performances during the 2023/24 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs.

Rangers were one of the clubs that competed at the SAFA‘s ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs held in Upington, Northern Cape, in June 2024.

The Western Cape ABC amateur side had a lot of talented players who managed to secure deals in the professional ranks.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Giovanni Philander is one of the players who managed to secure a move to the Betway Premiership side Chippa United following his impressive displays.

Hungry Lions have decided to sign Dollie and Gordon after weeks of training with the club. The duo continued where they left off from the national playoffs.

Dollie plays as a defender in the right-back position. During the national playoffs, he showed how solid he is as a right-back. Meanwhile, Gordon plays as a midfielder, who put in a good shift for the Rangers in third-tier league national playoffs.

Last season, Hungry Lions occupied the eighth position in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after collecting 42 points from 30 matches. In those 30 games, the side won 11 games, drew nine, and lost 10 in the process.

The club will be hoping that Dollie and Gordon will add much-needed value to their squad as they aim to challenge for promotion to the Betway Premiership.

The duo can’t wait to showcase their God-given talent in the professional ranks against their peers.
