Bafana Bafana legend’s son joins Casric Stars
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars have signed goalkeeper Marc Anderson, the son of Bafana Bafana legend Mark ‘Lesilo’ Anderson.
The 26-year-old has been without a club after parting ways with Betway Premiership outfit Cape Town City FC in 2023.

This publication has since established that Anderson has now resurfaced in Mpumalanga at Casric Stars.
AGENT CONFIRMS MARC ANDERSON HAS JOINED MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP SIDE CASRIC STARS
“Anderson has signed a one-year with a one-year option,” his agent Ryan Hartslief from Bigtime Sports confirmed.
“It’s a special moment – Peter Koutroulis signed and worked with his father [Mark Anderson] and now a second generation signing with him.
“To me, it is very special and nostalgic. The talented player who was previously on the books of Cape Town City is looking to get game time and help Casric get into the PSL,” he said.
Meanwhile, Casric are set to use the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Mpumalanga and the Giyani Stadium in Limpopo as their home venues. This is the same arrangement that the club had in their second season in the National First Division.
The club also recently roped in coach Selaoetse ‘Sly’ Mosala into their technical team. Veteran administrator Peter Koutroulis who was with Magesi FC last season has also joined the club.
The club has not issued any update on the future coach, Sundra Govender. Govender has reportedly been earmarked by Marumo Gallants to be part of the technical team ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.
