AmaZulu FC defender Sandile Khumalo will continue his loan spell with Black Leopards in the Motsepe Foundation Championship for another season.
This marks his second consecutive term with ‘Lidoda Duvha’, following his tenure with the Limpopo-based team during the 2023/24 season.
He returned to ‘Usuthu’ at the end of the season and trained with them during the pre-season. However, he will have to wait a little longer to taste top-flight football once again.
โSandile Khumalo has joined Black Leopards on loan until the end of the season. Good luck and all the best, Mbaye,โ AmaZulu announced on their social media platforms on Thursday evening.
Khumalo is the second player to depart the Durban-based club on loan, with Leonardo Rooi also securing a season-long loan to Durban City FC.
Additionally, the club confirmed that Thato Matli, who joined alongside Rooi during this transfer window, will also be loaned out this season.
With AmaZulu looking to return stronger this season, they have signed Andiswa Sithole, Luvuyo Phewa, Kwanda Mngonyama, Boniface Haba, Etiosa Ighodaro and Senzo Ndlovu.
The clubโs head coach, Pablo Franco Martin, expressed his delight about what he has at his disposal.

IS PABLO MARTIN HAPPY WITH AMAZULU SQUAD?
โAll coaches around the world are always open to get someone on board to improve the team,โ said Martin.
โWe always want more. But Iโm happy. I think we have a wider squad than last season. We are finding players in some positions who are creating competition.
โThat competition didnโt exist last season. Itโs not only because of the players weโve signed but also because of the growth of those who stayed.
โFor me, itโs been the most important thing to keep the players like Riaan Hanamub, [Mlondi] Mbanjwa, [Tshepang] Moremi, all the players that we help to grow up.
โWe are receiving offers for them, but they are still part of the team. Thatโs part of the success of having a good squad.
โAnd from there, we are going to push to [improve] the results from the last season.โ
