Richards Bay FC have bolstered their squad with the signing of Siboniso Conco and are in the process of completing the deal of former Golden Arrows defender Siyabonga Dube.
Both players participated in the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup on Saturday, where the Natal Rich Boyz were defeated by Njampela FC, losing 4-3 in a penalty shootout during the final.
Richards Bay coach Brandon Truter expressed his satisfaction with both players, confirming that Conco has officially joined the team, while negotiations for Dube are nearing completion.
Conco had been under assessment at the KZN side for quite some time now following his departure. Meanwhile, Dube has been a free agent after departing the Kosovo side KF Liria earlier this year.
During his time abroad, he played 16 games in all competitions, providing one assist in the process.
TRUTER CONFIRMS SIGNING OF SIBONISO CONCO, GIVES UPDATE ON SIYABONGA DUBE
โYes, Conco has been signed and Dube, weโre still concluding that deal,โ said Truter.
โWeโre happy with both of them, as you could see Conco could add value, he can add value to the team and a very good winger.
โBut in terms of Dube weโre still concluding.โ

In response to the club’s performances in the Legacy Cup, Truter expressed that they are nearing the standard he’s looking to reach before the start of the Betway Premiership.
He believes that since his appointment last month, succeeding Vusumuzi Vilakazi, he has successfully fostered a winning mentality within the team.
TRUTERโS THOUGHTS ON THE CURRENT LEVEL OF THE TEAM HE HAS
โSince I started it was important to build the culture and create the environment of winning and not being scared,โ he added.
โI think thatโs there, the boys you can see the boys [wanted] winning this game in the 90 minutes [but] we lost on penalties. So, that’s good, one goal conceded today in two games, itโs something to work on.
โBut other than that, next week we start the league, some things to work on. Like I said, weโre very close to where we want to be.โ
