Musona set for another move
Former PSL star Walter Musona is set for another move after helping his current club, Simba Bhora FC win the Zimbabwean league title, FARPost has learnt.
The talented forward has been in blistering form for both club and country, Zimbabwe. Walter, who is the young brother of former Kaizer Chiefs Knowledge Musona, is proving he is not yet a spent force after failing to make a mark in the Betway Premiership.
He joined Simba Bhora FC in January from FC Platinum. His efforts helped them win the 2024 Zimbabwe PSL title, their first since gaining promotion in 2022.
Musona registered 11 goals, and 13 assists in 32 appearances for the club based in a remote town called Shamva. For Zimbabwe, he scored twice in the just-ended 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
With these impressive statistics, several clubs have circled around the 28-year-old as his contract with Simba Bhora FC nears the end.
Sources close to FARPost have revealed that two PSL clubs are keen to bring him back to South Africa.
However, he has chosen to remain in Zimbabwe, with the newly promoted side Scottland FC, being his next destination.
Scottland FC is set for a massive recruitment drive. They are already gearing up for their maiden appearance in Zimbabwe’s PSL.
WHICH CLUB IS WALTER MUSONA SET TO MOVE TO
This publication has it on good authority that Musona is heading to Scottland FC along with leading goalscorer Lynoth Chikuhwa.
“It’s as good as done. We are just waiting for the season to be concluded this weekend but otherwise, he is likely to join Scottland,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Scottland FC is already home to several former PSL stars, including defender Lincoln Zvasiya, who played for Kaizer Chiefs.
Former University of Pretoria midfielder Denver Mukamba and ex-Bidvest Wits left-back McClive Phiri are also part of the team.
Ronald Pfumbidzai who excelled in the books of Chippa United is also part of the team. Pfumbidzai joined them midway through the 2024 season.
