What Bruce Bvuma makes of Chiefs’ progress under Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has shared his thoughts on the team’s progress under the highly-rated Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi.

Nabi joined Chiefs ahead of the current Betway Premiership season as the team is trying to change its fortunes and challenge for the titles after years of struggle.

The last time Chiefs won a trophy was in the 2014/15 campaign, as they clinched the league title under coach Stuart Baxter.

In the past seasons, Amakhosi have been making some coaching changes because results were not coming through. Coaches who have been in charge of the club include Arthur Zwane, Molefi Ntseki, Steve Komphela, and Cavin Johnson.

In his first season in charge of the Soweto giants, the 59-year-old Nabi, who arrived at Naturena with his own technical team, has experienced mixed results because of inconsistency in Chiefs performances.

After 13 matches in all competitions, The Glamour Boys have registered five victories and three draws and suffered five defeats.

In contrast to the last campaign, after the same number of matches across all competitions, the Soweto giants had four victories, three draws and six defeats.

BRUCE BVUMA SAYS THERE’S A LOT PROGRESS UNDER NABI DESPITE INCONSISTENCY IN RESULTS

The 29-year-old – Bvuma has expressed his positive outlook on the team’s progress under the guidance of experienced coach Nabi. The talented goalie further highlighted that they have to start collecting positive results.

“We are definitely making progress under coach [Nasreddine] Nabi in terms of how we are playing. You can see that we have improved a lot than the previous seasons,” said Bvuma.

“We are playing well, and as a team, we are doing well. It’s just that the results are not coming our way. We are getting inconsistent in terms of getting the results.

“But that doesn’t mean that there is no progress; I believe there is a lot of progress. We just have to get the results going forward.”
