While Kaizer Chiefs’ DDC clash was postponed, Orlando Pirates suffered a setback as Mamelodi Sundowns returned to winning form at the weekend.
Amakhosi game against Chippa United was supposed to take place on Saturday, 1 February at Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth but was rescheduled due to unknown reasons.
โThe DStv Diski Challenge match between Chippa United Reserves and Kaizer Chiefs Reserves, scheduled for today, has been postponed. A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course,โ announced Kaizer Chiefs on their social media.
As a result of their inactivity this past weekend, the Phefeni Glamour Boys dropped to second place in the league standings, having accumulated 36 points from 15 matches.
In an upset, Sekhukhune United defeated Joseph Makhanyaโs Orlando Pirates 2-1 at the Isak Steyl Stadium, thanks to a brace from Kearabilwe Mphahlele.
The Sea Robbers currently hold seventh position in the league standings, having accrued 25 points from 16 league fixtures.
Meanwhile, Bafana Ba Style returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over TS Galaxy at the Giant Stadium, following their loss to champions Stellenbosch FC the previous weekend.
The Tshwane giants remain third on the table with 35 points after 16 games.

Stellies continued their winning form, whipping Cape Town City 3-0 to keep maximum points at home, further solidifying their aspirations for a successful title defense.
The Cape Winelands hold fourth position in the league standings, level on 35 points with Sundowns.
And SuperSport extended their winning run to five matches, beating newbies Magesi 2-0.
