How Khama Billiat has fared at Scottland FC

Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs talisman Khama Billiat finds himself under pressure to impress at Zimbabwe’s PSL side, Scottland FC.

Khama Billiat joined Scottland FC in January after a revival season in the books of Yadah FC in 2024. During the 2024 season, the 34-year-old made 24 goal contributions as he was Yadah FC’s point of difference.

He scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists. Moreover, he capped his maiden season with two major awards as he was voted the second runner-up for the Player of the Season award.

Additionally, he was voted as the Fans’ Player of the Year. And when he moved to Scottland FC, his stakes were raised as he earns huge sums for a footballer in Zimbabwe. He is pocketing R108 800 [US$ 6000] per month.

Last month, the former Kaizer Chiefs talisman won the People’s Choice Awards at the country’s Annual Sports Awards [ANSA].

However, this season, the stylish forward is yet to spark despite his club’s trailblazing start to the season. In four games, the former Betway Premiership Player of the Season has only managed one assist.

He missed the season-opening encounter against Triangle United. So far, Scottland FC, who are captained by Walter Musona, have won three times, with one draw and a loss. Rising midfielder Mthokozisi Msebe has been a shining star for the Tonderai Ndiraya-coached side. He has scored twice for the well-sponsored Harare-based team.

It remains to be seen how Billiat will fare as the season progresses, as he will be expected to be in top form for The Warriors of Zimbabwe.

The Warriors of Zimbabwe were drawn together with Bafana Bafana in the 2025 AFCON Group B. Angola and Egypt complete the group. They are also in the same group in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers where Bafana Bafana have been excelling.
