Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat finally got it right at Scottland FC after ending his dry spell in six league games.
Billiat moved to Scottland FC in January from Yadah FC, where he revived his career after leaving the Betway Premiership at Chiefs. In 2024, the 34-year-old made 24 goal contributions as he also became Yadah FCโs point of difference.
He scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists. But this season, he started on a low note despite featuring in five of the six matches that have been played so far.
As a result, he found himself under scrutiny as goals were elusive for him this season. However, he finally ended his dry spell on Saturday in a league match against his former paymasters, Yadah FC.

BILLIAT SCORES FIRST GOAL IN 2025 AGAINST HIS FORMER PAYMASTERS
Billiat scored for Scottland FC as they drew 1-1 with Yadah FC. He thrust them ahead after 25 minutes of play. Yadah FC’s Francis Mustafa restored parity on the stroke of half-time, forcing the match to end in a 1-1 draw at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.
This means the former Chiefsย talisman has only managed one goal and provided one assist. Billiat will hope to keep the scoring form and replicate his form from last season, where he won two major awards.
He was voted the second runner-up for the Player of the Season award and won the Fansโ Player of the Year accolade. A lot is expected from Billiat, as he is the highest-paid player in the entire league. The stylish forward is pocketing R108 800 [US$6000] per month.
Meanwhile, he is still riding high after accounting for the Peopleโs Choice Awards at the countryโs Annual Sports Awards [ANSA] most recently.
In addition, Billiat’s good form will undoubtedly excite The Warriors’ coach, Michael Nees, ahead of the 2025 AFCON finals.
