AmaZulu FC part ways with Celimpilo Ngema

AmaZulu FC have parted ways with the club’s midfielder Celimpilo Ngema, FARPost has learnt. This comes with just two months left in the 2024/25 season, before player movements begin in the mid-season transfer window.
Usuthu, as usual, are also expected to part company with a few players ahead of the 2025/26 season to revamp Arthur Zwane’s squad somewhat.
Ngema has seemingly become the first player to be shown an exit door by AmaZulu due to disciplinary issues, according to FARPost sources.
WHY NGEMA HAS BEEN SHOWN EXIT DOOR BY AMAZULU
It is understood that the player has been absent from training with Zwane’s troops for the past two weeks, subsequent to the club’s decision on him.

Ngema has been with AmaZulu since July 2023 and has featured in 45 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and registering four assists in the process.
Joining from Marumo Gallants, Usuthu won Ngema’s signature after the Melmoth-born player was strongly linked with Kaizer Chiefs.
Ngema was one of the pivotal figures for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa in the 2022/23 campaign, scooping the Player of the Season award at Gallants at the end of the season.
Within the last six months of his contract with the then Limpopo club, he penned a pre-contract with Usuthu, prior to joining them later in July.
Upon his arrival at AmaZulu, Ngema found it challenging to maintain the form he displayed at Gallants. During his first season, under the guidance of Pablo Franco Martin, he featured in 30 matches across all competitions.
Meanwhile, he played 15 matches in all competitions this season, first under the co-coaching of Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi, and then under Zwane’s sole leadership.
Ngema last featured for Usuthu when they won 3-0 over Magesi FC in the league match on 22 February.
