With Royal AM facing a significant player exodus after the PSL terminated its membership, a trio of players from the club has attracted interest in the Betway Premiership.

A couple of players have already finalised deals to join rival teams in the league, a few months before the end of the season.

Thabo Matlaba, Philani Sithebe, Ayabulela Maxwele, Shadrack Kobedi, and Sabelo Sithole have signed for Golden Arrows, while Sbangani Zulu and Mfundo Thikazi joined Richards Bay FC. Khulekani Shezi moved outside KZN province, joining Sekhukhune United in Limpopo.

Now, Bandile Dlamini [left winger], Sisanda Mbhele [right winger] and Sabelo Shezi [right-back] are on the radar of a handful of clubs in the league who have made enquiries about their services.

The three players came through the youth ranks of Royal AM and delivered impressive displays under the leadership of John Maduka towards the end of last season and earlier in this campaign.

PSL CLUBS ENQUIRE ABOUT ROYAL AM TRIO

โ€œA few clubs in the PSL [are interested] but the most important thing, I canโ€™t just take the players and just leave [the club],โ€ said the trioโ€™s agent, Ntobatsi Masegela, during an interview with FARPost.

โ€œSo, we need to see whatโ€™s happening with the club. The boys are receiving their salaries but are a bit late, but they do get their salaries.

โ€œFor them, itโ€™s not a good thing, and the club and everyone else are in dire situations. In situations like these, you donโ€™t have to rush for the sake of rushing, you have to see whatโ€™s happening.

โ€œEnquiries will always be there for the good players, there are enquiries and very good ones. We need to respect the process of whatโ€™s happening.

โ€œImagine this person was giving you a salary, but now you just turn your back against them, just like that. Theyโ€™ve got contracts and they need to honour them.โ€
