Midlands Wanderers and African Warriors have booked their places in the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs after being crowned champions in their respective provinces over the weekend.
Wanderers were the first team to qualify for the SA third-tier National Playoffs after defeating Mkhambathi FC with a 1-0 scoreline in the KZN provincial decider on Saturday, 26 April 2025.
The game between Wanderers and Mkhambathi took place at the King Zwelithini Stadium. The fans came out in numbers to pack the stadium as they wanted to witness who would represent KZN at the playoffs.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, 27 April, the Warriors were crowned the Free State ABC Motsepe League champions after defeating Mangaung City FC 1-0. The match was played at CUT Tokkie Park Stadium in Bloemfontein.
As a result, the Warriors and Wanderers will represent Free State and KZN, respectively, at the upcoming SAFA National playoffs.
So far, there are still seven more spots to be filled for the national playoffs. The finalists of the playoffs will be promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. SAFA will announce the province that will host the National Playoffs in due course.
