Thames FC secured a 4-0 win over Real Movers to keep their SAFA ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs qualification hopes alive this past weekend.
The North West ABC Motsepe League clash took place at Alabama Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Thames are currently placed at the top of the table with 95 points after 35 games. They are 12 points ahead of second-placed Lerumo Lions, who have played three games fewer.
In Gauteng province, Highlands Park FC are yet to be crowned champions, as there is still a pending judicial matter between them and La Masia. The winner will be crowned after the case is resolved.
The Lions of the North played their last game of the season on Saturday against the University of Johannesburg, which they won 2-0 to finish at the top of the table with 83 points after 34 matches.
Meanwhile, in Limpopo, the matches scheduled for the weekend of 9 and 10 May 2025 were postponed because of the ongoing DC cases and the replays that must be finished before the final fixtures could be played, as first reported by Sonic Digitals.
The postponed matches will be played during the weekend of 16 and 17 May 2025, with any ordered replays set to take place on the 13th of May 2025.
