At least six Betway Premiership clubs are chasing the services of Zimbabwe’s PSL leading goalscorer, it has emerged.
In recent years, Zimbabwean football has missed a prolific marksman, but this season a new star has emerged, promising to break all records.
Washington Navaya of TelOne FC is scoring for fun in the league as he leads the goal charts with eight goals in eleven matches.
Navaya has been so good that he won the March and April monthly awards for his impressive statistics. He is also in line to win the May award.
Deservedly, it has emerged that several Betway Premiership clubs are knocking on his door for his services. Navaya’s contract with TelOne expires at the end of the 2025 season.

AGENT CONFIRMS MASSIVE INTEREST FROM SIX BETWAY PREMIERSHIP CLUBS
His agent, Gilbert Sengwe, told FARPost that several clubs in the Betway Premiership have inquired.
Sengwe was tight-lipped on naming the clubs that have inquired. But FARPost understands that Polokwane City FC and Sekhukhune United are part of the list.
“It’s too early to divulge the clubs now since we are still weighing options. Also, if anything tangible, we have to update and communicate with his current club since he still has a running contract,” Sengwe said.
Navaya was one of the key players at Highlanders FC during Baltermar Brito’s tenure at the club in 2023.
He was offloaded ahead of the 2024 season and surfaced at TelOne FC, where he has partnered with former Moroka Swallows forward Tawanda Macheke.
While Navaya has been high riding, TelOne FC have been modest as they occupy fifth position. They have 17 points from 11 games and are six points behind leaders, MWOS.
It remains to be seen where the striker will end up, considering the massive interest. Moreover, he is also raising his hand for the Zimbabwe National Team ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON]to be staged in Morocco.
