Following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship season, Baroka FC have already started to bolster their squad for the upcoming campaign, with three players set to join the club.
In the just-ended Motsepe Foundation Championship season, the Limpopo club finished in position eight with 41 points from 30 outings.
This was not a good season for Bakgaga as compared to the 2023/24 term. Last campaign, they qualified for the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs after securing third place in the SA second-tier with 47 points after 30 matches.
The Dan Malesela-coached side is determined to go into the 2025/26 season on high spirits. Therefore, the club saw a need to start reinforcing its squad to challenge for the league title.

THE THREE PLAYERS SET TO JOIN BAROKA FC FOR THE NEW SEASON
Baroka are set to acquire the services of Tshepho ‘Manucho’ Mothiba [striker], Seoka ‘Maguire’ Harrison [defender], and Tetelo ‘Slender’ Lekwatsipa [midfielder]. The trio are from the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League side Ditlou FC.
Ditlou confirmed that they have agreed on a “consensus of the pre-contracts” of the trio with Baroka for the upcoming season.
“Ditlou FC and Baroka Football Club have reached a consensus on the pre-contracts of the three players,” said Ditlou in a statement. “They attracted Bakgaga’s interest after the last match of the season against Ngwaabe City Motors Football Club.
“We are very delighted to share this good news with our supporters. The key players in making this possible by pushing the boys and cheering them up. We thank you very much.
“We would like to wish our players all the best. A milestone to overcome.”
As things stand, Ditlou are placed fourth in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League Stream B table. They have collected 40 points after 21 games. Ditlou are 11 points behind provincial playoffs contenders, The Dolphins FC.
In those 21 matches, Ditlou managed to register 11 wins, draw seven, and suffered three losses in the process.
