Ex-Sekhukhune technical member heavily linked with Chippa

Sinesipho Mali at Sekhukhune United

A few hours after announcing his departure at Sekhukhune United, performance analyst and scout Sinesipho Mali is heavily linked with a move to Chippa United.

Mali announced his shocking exit from Babina Noko after spending one season at the club, having joined in September 2024.

The ex-Kaizer Chiefs technical member served as the head of analysis and scouting at Sekhukhune, focusing on talent identification and player recruitment.

Meanwhile, Mali is also part of Hugo Broosโ€™ technical team, where heโ€™s serving as an analyst. He played a key role in the impressive Bafana team that clinched the bronze medal at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

Having proven his worth with Sekhukhune and Bafana Bafana, Mali looks set to begin a new chapter with Chippa United.

Chippa finished the previous campaign in 11th position on the league table with 31 points and marginally missed out on a top-eight finish.

A source close to FARPost has revealed that Mali is on his way to Chippa, while the details of his position heโ€™s going to take are not clear yet.

โ€œSinesipho Mali is in talks with Chippa United after leaving his position at Sekhukhune. He’ll be joining them, but at the moment, itโ€™s not clear which position heโ€™s taking,โ€ a source said.

โ€œWe all know what he can do, and Chippa is seeing him as someone who can elevate their technical department to build a competitive team for next season.

โ€œI mean, Mali would not just resign at a club like Sekhukhune, so Chippa are very serious about his services.โ€

In addition, the Eastern Cape side is going to part ways with their coach Thabo September when his contract expires in June.
