The game between Hugo Broos‘ troops and Tanzania ended in a 0-0 draw, as neither side could find the back of the net.

WHAT TANZANIA COACH HEMED SULEIMAN SAID ABOUT FEISAL SALUM

Tanzanian coach Suleiman stated that Salum is a talented player who could fit into any team. He also noted that Salum’s attributes are similar to those of South African players, suggesting he’d adapt well to the Betway Premiership.

“You know, Feisal, I think he has the qualities of South African players. So, for me, he can play on any team,” said Suleiman in Polokwane.

“I believe he is the best midfielder in Tanzania at the moment. He is a good player and young. We need to support him. Given the fact that he is a good player, that gives him an advantage to be able to play anywhere.”

In the 2024/25 season, the highly-rated player has made 13 league appearances for Azam, finding the net four times. His club, Azam, is currently in third place in the Tanzanian Premier League, having accumulated 57 points from 28 matches.

Meanwhile, a week ago, this publication reported that Amakhosi’s head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, had an important meeting with Salum during his trip to Tanzania, alongside Chiefs’ head of scouting Thembela โ€˜Teraโ€™ Maliwa.

This meeting reaffirms Chiefs’ ongoing interest in the talented midfielder for next season, especially given that Nabi rates him highly.
