Zimbabwe PSL giants Caps United have paid tribute to a former Mamelodi Sundowns star who has consistently given them a shot in the arm.
Caps United is the only Zimbabwe PSL club Nyasha Mushekwi played for before graduating into the Betway Premiership.
He went on to punch above his weight during his time with Masandawana after joining them in July 2010. He netted 30 goals and provided five assists in 92 games for the club.
After leaving Sundowns in August 2015, he played for a number of Chinese clubs, including Dalian Yifang, Zhejiang FC, Yunnan Yukun and Dalian K’un City.
He also turned out for KV Oostende in Belgium and Djurgรฅrdens IF of Sweden. And as he continues with his career, Mushekwi shows undying compassion for Caps United almost 15 years after leaving them.
The 37-year-old has consistently donated equipment, including soccer boots, socks and sneakers to the team.

CAPS UNITED PAY TRIBUTE TO CHINA-BASED NYASHA MUSHEKWI
In 2019, the China-based striker did the unthinkable when he gifted Caps United with a top-of-the-range luxury bus.
The luxury team bus stands out as one of the beautiful buses in Zimbabwe’s football landscape. Appreciating Mushekwi’s inspiring gestures towards them, the club posted on their Facebook page.
“We keep acknowledging Nyasha Mushekwi for his dedicated support to the team. The donation of this bus keeps bringing joy to the club; it’s an indelible and incredible mark to the Green Machine family,” said Caps United.
“He scored so much for the club, and this gift keeps scoring for us even when you are miles away. Thank you, Nyasha Mushekwi.”
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old has continued with his prolific scoring form, scoring seven goals in the 11 matches he played in the Chinese League One.
Plausibly, Mushekwi has managed over 100 goals across the Chinese Super League and League One since his arrival in 2016.
