The future of Richards Bay FC defender Keegan Allan remains up in the air as his contract is set to expire on 30 June with no new offer from his club.
The centre-back joined the Natal Rich Boyz at the beginning of the season on a one-year deal on a free transfer, having parted ways with SuperSport United at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Allan truly made his mark in the recently concluded campaign with the KZN outfit, enjoying a highly successful season where he firmly established himself as a familiar face in the starting line-up.
The defenderโs consistent contributions were evident in his impressive 27 appearances across all competitions, showcasing his reliability and importance to the team.
He further made his contributions felt on both ends of the pitch, scoring one goal and registering an assist in the process.

RICHARDS BAY YET TO MAKE MOVE TO RETAIN ALLANโS SERVICES
Reliable FARPost sources have revealed that Richards Bay have surprisingly not made a quick move to retain the services of the 24-year-old centre-back.
Allan has become a highly sought-after talent, attracting significant attention from a number of Betway Premiership clubs looking to bolster their defensive lines for the upcoming season.
As previously reported last week, AmaZulu FC, Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United have all thrown their hats into the ring with a strong interest in securing Allan’s services.
Meanwhile, Richards Bay are expected to part ways with several players as part of their squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Players such as Austin Dube, Siyabonga Dube and Romario Dlamini stopped training with the team before the previous season came to an end.
It appears some were directly informed of their exclusion from the clubโs future plans, marking the initial phase of what is expected to be a significant clear-out to bring in fresh talent and restructure the squad.
