Orlando Pirates are in the final stages of concluding a deal for Bafana Bafana winger Tshepang Moremi for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
Pirates made contact with AmaZulu FC for the transfer of Moremi, who was one of the outstanding attackers in the PSL last season. The left-footed winger displayed his explosive pace and skill to eliminate defenders, which made him one of the most talked-about players in the league.
In the previous season, Moremi featured in 31 matches in all competitions. He scored four goals and provided seven assists. The 24-year-old was instrumental as the KZN-based side finished sixth on the league table to qualify for next season’s MTN8.
After his impressive showing, Moremi earned a Bafana call-up earlier this month, and he was part of the Hugo Broos team that played international friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique.
Having proven his attacking qualities in the colours of Usuthu, the skilful winger will likely play his football at Pirates in the upcoming campaign.
PIRATES AND AMAZULU FINDING EACH OTHER ON TSHEPANG MOREMI

The Bafana international is comfortable playing on both the right and left wings, which makes him a valuable asset going forward. A source close to the player told FARPost that the deal is as good as done, with a few finer details left.
“AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates are finding each other with their discussions regarding Tshepang Moremi,” a source said.
“I don’t see anything that can stop the deal from happening because Pirates are very serious about signing Moremi.
“They are seeing him as a player who can come in for the next season and add value as they try to compete locally and on the African continent.”
Meanwhile, the Soweto giants have already parted ways with players such as Miguel Timm, Paseka Mako, and Thabiso Monyane after the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.
