Bafana Bafana winger Tshepang Moremi addresses the media in Polokwane

One of the new faces in the Bafana Bafana squad, Tshepang Moremi, has made a confident statement about his role in the national team, with an eye on upcoming major tournaments.

The AmaZulu FC star is one of the few newest additions called up by Hugo Broos ahead of the two international friendly matches.

Bafana Bafana will take on Tanzania at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday at 19:30. They will then host neighbours Mozambique at the same venue on Tuesday.

Some of the new faces include Orlando Pirates trio of Mohau Nkota, Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Simphiwe Selepe. Yanela Mbuthuma from Richards Bay has also made the cut.

With South Africa already qualified for AFCON 2025 in Morocco and in a strong position for World Cup qualification, the 24-year-old has his sights set on making both squads.

โ€œWhat I can say is that I want to see myself assisting and scoring because I can attack and defend. I will continue to work hard. I know that I will get a chance against Tanzania and Mozambique. So itโ€™s either I help with an assist or score, but definitely I will get something.”
