Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lebohang Maboe has attracted interest from at least four clubs following his exit from the reigning Betway Premiership champions.
The versatile midfielder spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at SuperSport United.
During his loan spell, Maboe proved instrumental in SuperSport Unitedโs successful fight against relegation. He featured in 16 matches across all competitions for Matsatsantsa, contributing one goal and two assists.
With SuperSport United facing financial difficulties and having sold their PSL status to Bloemfontein-based Siwelele FC for the upcoming season, Maboeโs future lies elsewhere.
WHICH FOUR CLUBS ARE SHOWING INTEREST IN LEBO MABOE
Interestingly, newly promoted Durban City FC, a club with which Maboe shares a significant history, is among the suitors for the versatile midfielder known for his goal-scoring ability.
The 30-year-old previously made a name for himself at Durban City [then known as Maritzburg United] before making his move to Sundowns during the 2017/18 season. Durban City is set to be coached by Gavin Hunt, who was previously in charge of SuperSport.

Other clubs reportedly vying for Maboeโs signature include Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, as well as Sekhukhune United. Babina Noko had previously expressed interest in the midfielder before his loan move to SuperSport.
For Amakhosi, the interest comes amidst significant squad changes, with captain Yusuf Maartโs move to Austria reportedly imminent and Edson Castillo already released.
With CAF Confederation Cup commitments on the horizon, the Naturena-based club is reportedly considering bringing in the experienced midfielder. Their Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates, have also reportedly enquired about the versatile player.
His time at the Brazilians was successful, as he lifted an impressive nine major trophies, including five league titles. In 183 appearances, he scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists. While primarily an attacking midfielder, he played in 72 matches as a winger.
He was also deployed as a centre forward 12 times, with further appearances at right back.
