Ambitious Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC have snapped up the ex-Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge goalkeeper Lungile Nkosi.
The KZN-based outfit is beefing up their squad to push for automatic promotion to the Betway Premiership in the upcoming season. In the previous campaign, Milford had a decent run in the NFD after occupying the top spot on the league table for most part of the season.
Milford slipped in the last few months of the season, as Durban City FC won the title to gain promotion to the Premiership.
The dip in the run of form saw Milford also missing out on the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs after finishing sixth on the log with 43 points in 30 matches.
Orbit College and Casric Stars qualified for the playoffs, where they faced Cape Town City FC, who finished 15th on the log standings in the elite league last season.
The ‘Mswenko Boys’ overpowered Casric Stars and Cape Town City FC in the playoffs, securing a place in the top-flight for the 2025/26 campaign.
MILFORD FC BEEF UP THEIR SQUAD FOR THE NEW SEASON

Meanwhile, Milford have recently returned from their off-season break to prepare for the new season, which is set to commence on August 22, 2025.
The Xanti Pupuma-owned team has strengthened its squad with the signing of former Chiefs DDC goalie Lungile Nkosi.
In an exciting move for Nkosi, the 22-year-old will have a fresh start in the second-tier league, hoping to get regular game-time.
The young shotstopper came through the Amakhosi development ranks, and his progress at the club was delayed by injuries.
Nkosi was touted for the first-team promotion at the Soweto giants in the past few years; however, the move didn’t materialise, resulting in his exit from the Soweto giants a few months ago.
