With the start of the new season looming, Betway Premiership giants Orlando Pirates have bagged a new, exciting partnership.
The Soweto giants recently returned from their pre-season tour in Spain in preparation for what promises to be a thrilling 2025/26 campaign.
Pirates used the Marbella facilities in Spain as the new coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou, took players through their paces. The Moroccan coach was appointed as the head coach last month after Jose Riveiro left the club to join Al Ahly following the expiry of his contract.
The Sea Robbers played a handful of training matches against top European clubs to build combinations and allow new players to gel into the team.
In the current transfer window, the Buccaneers completed marquee signings after welcoming Sipho Mbule, Oswin Appollis, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Yanela Mbuthuma, Sihle Nduli, Masindi Nemtajela, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Tshepho Mashiloane, Nkosikhona Ndaba, and Tshepang Moremi.
Pirates are looking to compete for all trophies on offer after finishing the previous season as runners-up in the league, behind Mamelodi Sundowns, and reaching the semi-final of the CAF Champions League.

In a move to maintain its position as one of the leading brands on the African continent, Pirates have secured a new sponsorship with automotive giant Suzuki.
The Japanese company announced the partnership with Pirates on social media on Thursday morning, adding to the existing brands that sponsor the club.
“A new chapter starts here. Suzuki is proud to be the official vehicle partner of Orlando Pirates Football Club. From the streets to the stadium, we move as one,” Suzuki said on social media.
Meanwhile, Suzuki joined major brands such as Vodacom, Carling Black Label, SuperSportBET, Oppo, Adidas, Aquelle, and Marriott Bonvoy as sponsors of Orlando Pirates.
