Limpopo side Gosebo United have roped in former Baroka FC mentor Kgoloko Thobejane as their new head coach for the 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League season.

Gosebo recently bought United Artists’ ABC Motsepe League status in the SAFA Limpopo. The team finished the last campaign in sixth position with 26 points after 22 matches in Stream A.

Thobejane is no stranger to the South African third tier, having previously coached teams such as Som United and Super Stars FC, both from the North West ABC Motsepe League, as well as Postmasburg FC in the Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League.

Coach Thobejane holds a CAF C License, which he completed last year. The CAF C coaching license programme was held at the University of Limpopo.

GOSEBO UNITED OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON KGOLOKO THOBEJANE’S APPOINTMENT

The Ga-Masemola club conveyed their delight in securing the former PSL coach’s services, and they are confident that Thobejane will lead them to greater heights.

“Gosebo United Football Club reveals ambitions for the upcoming season of 2025/2026. We have secured Kgoloko Thobejane’s signature, former Baroka FC coach,” said the club in a statement.

With the 2025/26 season fast approaching, Gosebo aims to gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship through the guidance of coach Thobejane.

However, the SAFA Limpopo is yet to confirm the official start of the ABC Motsepe League’s new season, which usually kicks off in October.

In his last interview with FARPost, Thobejane disclosed that he was ready to coach at any level as long as the right offer came.

โ€œFor me, at any level, I am ready. I am ready for any level. I canโ€™t pick and choose whether itโ€™s the ABC Motsepe League or Motsepe Foundation Championship, or even the Premiership. Itโ€™s not about the level, but itโ€™s about football,” he told this publication.
