FC Tulsa midfielder Jamie Webber has opened up about his desire to find his way back into the Bafana Bafana setup ahead of the upcoming AFCON tournament in December, following his impressive displays with the USA side.
The AFCON competition is set to start on 21 December in Morocco and will end on 18 January 2026.
Webber was part of the Bafana CHAN qualification squad before securing a move to Tulsa in March of this year from Sekhukhune United.
His impressive performances in Bafana colors during the qualifying phase for the 2024 CHAN tournament, held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in August, helped him secure the overseas move after spending about eight months without playing competitive football while at Babina Noko.
Since moving to the USA, Webber has been in form for Tulsa, where he has featured in 23 games across all competitions thus far, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

JAMIE WEBBER SINGLES OUT HIS PERSONAL GOALS FOR THIS SEASON
In an interview with this publication, Webber singled out his personal goals for this year, including his intention to be part of the SA men’s football national team and guiding his side to win the USL Championship Playoffs.
“Well, for this season, it is definitely my goal to win the playoffs and put myself on the map to be on the national team again,” the 27-year-old attacking midfielder told FARPost.
“I know AFCON is in December, and obviously, the FIFA World Cup is next year. I know the league might not be the top league that I’m in right now, but I know I’m getting more exposure here. I think that’s better for me, you know. That’s one of my goals.
“Obviously, I want more goals and assists this season, more than I had back home. I also want to move on to a bigger team because this was definitely a step in the right direction for me, I think.”
