Former Sekhukhune United winger Tiklas Thutlwa has joined the new PSL side Gomora United for the 2025/26 campaign, FARPost has learnt.
Thutlwa has been without a club since July 2025 following his departure from Babina Noko. The 26-year-old signed with the Limpopo club in July 2023 after being released by Black Leopards, who were relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the 2022/23 season.
However, the talented right winger was loaned to Venda FC in January 2024 in hopes of getting more playing time. Before being loaned out in the 2023/24 season, the player had played in 10 matches for Sekhukhune in the SA top flight.
Upon his arrival at Venda FC, Thutlwa did not officially play for the club, as he fractured his leg in a friendly match against the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium that season.
The former Motsepe Foundation Championship leading top goal-scorer spent about eight months on the sidelines due to the severe leg injury.
TIKLAS THUTLWA SPOTTED AT GOMORA UNITED TRAINING SESSION
This publication can reveal that Thutlwa, who was spotted at Gomora’s training session, has put pen to paper and will be playing for the club in the ongoing season.

The Gauteng side, Gomora, was promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship after clinching the 2024/25 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs title by defeating The Bees FC from Mpumalanga 2-1 at Lucas Moripe Stadium in July this year.
Gomora was promoted to the SA second tier together with The Bees, who were the runners-up at the ABC Motsepe National Playoffs. Also with Midlands Wanderers of KZN, who finished in third place at the playoffs.
Currently, Gomora is placed 12th on the Motsepe Foundation Championship table with 16 points after 13 outings. Their next league assignment will be against Black Leopards on Sunday, 7 December, at Thohoyandou Stadium. The kick-off is set for 15:30.
