FARPost has it on good authority that former Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu FC midfielder Ben Motshwari is set to sign with the Betway Premiership side Orbit College FC as the second round of the 2025/26 PSL season is fast approaching.

The experienced midfielder has been without a club since October 2025 after surprisingly cutting ties with Usuthu due to off-field issues.

The 34-year-old joined the KZN team in September 2023 from the Buccaneers as a free agent and seemed to fit into coach Arthur Zwane’s plans; however, disciplinary problems resulted in his departure from AmaZulu.

Before his contract termination at Usuthu last campaign, he had made seven appearances across all competitions.

ORBIT COLLEGE FC COLLEGE KEEN TO ROPE IN BEN MOTSHWARI

This publication has gathered that Motshwari has arrived at Orbit College’s camp as the club is gearing up for the league resumption later this month, with the Pogiso Makhoye-coached side keen to rope in the experienced central defender.

In addition, as previously reported by this website, former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Surprise Ralani has finally signed with Orbit College, after impressing the club’s hierarchy.

Ralani joins the North West side after he was appointed as the head coach of the SAFA Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League side, Gaza United FC, in November last year.

With his eight seasons in Europe playing for clubs such as Helsingborgs IF, IFK Hässleholm, Landskrona BoIS, and Lyngby BK, Ralani is expected to help save the club from a sinking ship with his vast experience.

ORBIT COLLEGE ALSO SIGN GOALKEEPER CYRIL CHIBWE

FARPost can further reveal that the Betway Premiership newcomers have signed Zambian international goalkeeper Cyril Chibwe, who has been training with the club in the past few weeks.

Chibwe has been with Zambian powerhouse ZESCO United for the past few months. He returned to his homeland after his departure from the Motsepe Foundation Championship team Black Leopards during the 2024/25 campaign.

Orbit College’s next league assignment will be against Mamelodi Sundowns away from home on Monday, 19 January 2026. The showdown will start at 19:30.
