Kaizer Chiefs chairman, Kaizer Motaung, has explained the vision behind the club’s long-awaited move into women’s football, describing it as a commitment to the “future of the game.”
On Tuesday, 31 March, the Soweto giants officially confirmed the establishment of Kaizer Chiefs Ladies, which will be participating in the Sasol League, a move that has been well received across the South African football landscape.
Motaung stated that the decision to launch a women’s team is more about the “responsibility” the club carries as a pillar of domestic football in the country.
The Amakhosi founder emphasised that the project is built on the foundation of legacy and long-term impact.
