Magesi FC are set to miss the services of Orlando Pirates loanee Siyabonga Ndlozi in a crucial Betway Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs.

Dikwena Tsa Meetse will welcome Chiefs at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday night, looking to collect maximum points and boost their chances of surviving relegation.

The Limpopo-based side have had a turbulent run in their second season in the Premiership after gaining promotion to the top-flight from the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

In the current campaign, Magesi have struggled to maintain consistent winning form, leading to the firing of head coach John Maduka, who joined the club in July 2025 and was replaced by veteran mentor Allan Freese.

Following a dismal run, Magesi sit at the bottom of the log in 16th place with just 17 points from 23 matches. They face the grim prospect of relegation unless they turn their fortunes around in the final seven games.

Aiming to upset a Chiefs side on a four-match winning streak, Magesi will have to do it without the suspended Ndlozi. The defender picks up an automatic one-match ban after receiving his fourth yellow card of the campaign against Sekhukhune United on Saturday in a league tie.

The 23-year-old has been a regular starter for Magesi since joining the club on loan from the Buccaneers in January 2025 for the remainder of the current season. In his spell with Dikwena Tsa Meetse so far, Ndlozi has featured in 10 appearances across all competitions.

The right-back will miss the must-win match against Chiefs, alongside midfielder Kgothatso Mariba, who will also serve a one-match suspension due to the accumulation of four yellow cards.

On the other hand, Magesi are facing Amakhosi, who have been in an impressive run of form after winning their last four league match in a row. Chiefs defeated Durban City FC, Magesi, Orbit College FC, and TS Galaxy to move third on the log standings with 42 points in 22 games.
