A high-stakes meeting between Adnan Beganovic and club president Tim Sukazi on Tuesday is set to determine the coach’s immediate future amidst the club’s poor run of form in the Betway Premiership, FARPost has been informed.
Galaxy suffered their fourth consecutive league defeat after falling to Richards Bay FC in their own backyard at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
The result extended the Rockets’ alarming winless streak in the league to 10 games, a dismal run that includes nine defeats and just a single draw. This slump has left the club hovering dangerously around the relegation zone in 12th position, sitting just six points ahead of Orbit College FC, who currently occupy the demotion cut-off point.
TS Beganović’s men have only five games remaining to breathe life into their faint chances of securing a top-eight finish. During this period, they will be desperately hoping that balancing their Premiership duties with the upcoming Nedbank Cup final does not further derail their domestic campaign.
BERNARD PARKER POISED FOR TS GALAXY ROLE AS BEGANOVIC FACES AXE
The Mpumalanga-based side now sits on 25 points, and with the gap to basement-side Orbit College FC narrowing, the pressure has reached a boiling point. All eyes are now fixed on the outcome of the impending crunch talks between management and the technical team, with strong indications that the club is seriously weighing its options regarding the coaching staff’s future.
Among those in the frame is the club’s assistant coach Bernard Parker, who could be handed the reins on an interim basis should Sukazi decide to make a change.
Galaxy’s dramatic dip in form has left more questions than answers, particularly given their contrasting dominance in the Nedbank Cup, where they have conceded just once en route to the final. They face Durban City FC in the Nedbank final on May 2 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

That inconsistency has only intensified scrutiny on Beganovic ahead of Tuesday’s meeting. The Bosnian coach has been candid about the team’s struggles, pointing to a mental fragility that has crept into his squad.
WHAT HAS BEGANOVIC SAID ABOUT TS GALAXY’S STRUGGLES
“I think everything is in the head now,” Beganovic admitted after a 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs. “Some people can accept and handle pressure whilst others can’t, and some can’t stay focused for 90 minutes.”
While Beganovic stopped short of making excuses, he acknowledged that the team has not looked the same since the January departures of Puso Dithejane and Khulumani Ndamane. Ndamane joined Mamelodi Sundowns, while Dithejane is now with MLS side Chicago Fire.
In the 2026 games, after the duo’s departure, they have conceded 21 goals. On the other hand, Dithejane remains one of their leading goal contributors, with four goals and four assists in the league, despite leaving three months ago.
“If we look at the start of the second round in January, we played well in one game against Marumo Gallants, and after that, we dropped down,” he said. “We also lost Puso and Ndamane, but this is no excuse.”
Despite the alarming slide, Beganovic insisted there is alignment between himself and Sukazi on how to address the situation. “I speak with him obviously, the situation in the league is not good for us. I’m positive, but he’s more positive. The discussions are mostly about what we need to do for the rest of the season and also what we’ll do at the end of the season to repair the squad,” he said.
