A high-level boardroom meeting on Tuesday has resulted in Adnan Beganovic vacating his post as head coach of TS Galaxy, with the club and the Bosnian tactician reaching a mutual agreement to sever ties, FARPost has learnt.
This departure comes in the wake of the intense “crunch talks” previously reported by this publication, as management demanded answers for a catastrophic slump in the Betway Premiership. During the session, the Rockets’ hierarchy expressed deep dissatisfaction with the team’s current trajectory, leading to a decision to shake up the coaching staff just as the season reached its most critical juncture.
The club has endured a nightmare run since returning from the 2025 AFCON break, suffering nine defeats in its last 10 league outings, a sequence that has left them hovering dangerously just five points clear of the relegation play-off spot.
THE TRANSFER RIFT: NDAMANE AND DITHEJANE
Sources familiar with the Tuesday discussion reveal that Beganovic did not go quietly. The coach reportedly cited the January 2026 sales of Khulumani Ndamane [Mamelodi Sundowns] and Puso Dithejane [Chicago Fire] as the primary reason for the club’s collapse.

Beganovic had allegedly warned management that offloading the pair would leave the squad “thin and exposed.” Since their exit, the Rockets have shipped a staggering 21 goals in the 2026 calendar year. Despite the friction, Sukazi and Beganovic signed a termination agreement on Tuesday that includes a structured payout for the remainder of the coach’s contract.
“The chairman [Sukazi] was obviously of the view that it was time to give someone else a shot, given the recent slump,” the source said. “In his defence, Beganovic argued that losing players of Ndamane and Dithejane’s calibre crippled the team, a move he had originally opposed. In the end, they found common ground in a mutual exit. A settlement was reached to pay a portion of his contract, and the termination agreement was signed and made official on the spot.
The timing of the departure is nothing short of staggering, coming less than two weeks before The Rockets are set to contest the Nedbank Cup final against Durban City FC in Polokwane. Beganovic departs with a paradoxical record; while overseeing one of the worst league runs in the club’s history, he simultaneously guided them to a major cup final.
“DIE HOND” TO THE RESCUE?
With no time to search for a permanent successor, the spotlight now turns to assistant coach Bernard Parker. The legendary former Kaizer Chiefs striker is poised to take the wheel for the final five league fixtures and the showpiece final on May 2.
Parker inherits a squad haunted by “mental fragility”—a term Beganovic used frequently in his final weeks—and will need to quickly repair the morale of a team that has forgotten how to win on the domestic stage.
