Black Leopards have been relegated to the amateur league despite a 2-1 victory over Venda FC on Sunday afternoon, while Cape Town City FC are continuing their chase for promotion to the Betway Premiership next season.
The Citizens collected maximum points at home on Sunday with a narrow 1-0 win against Baroka FC, who are already relegated to the ABC Motsepe League for the 2026/27 season.
CT City are sitting third on the league table with 51 points, having claimed 14 wins, nine draws, and six defeats in 29 matches. The Cape Town-based side trail second-placed Milford FC and league champions Kruger United. The latter secured automatic promotion to the top-flight after clinching the 2025/26 title with two games to spare.
The fight for a top-three finish is going down to the wire, with the final PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs spots to be decided on the last day of the campaign. CT City, Milford, Hungry Lions FC, and Casric Stars are all in contention for the second and third positions to tussle for promotion in the playoffs.

Elsewhere, Leopards were relegated to the ABC Motsepe League despite beating Limpopo rivals Venda FC in the Vhembe Derby. The game was staged at Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday. Lidoda Duvha are sitting 15th on the log with 28 points. And with only one match remaining, they are mathematically unable to move out of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Midlands Wanderers FC and Lerumo Lions FC, both in their debut season in the second tier, have secured their status. The two sides occupy ninth and 13th positions in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, respectively.
