Betway Premiership side Golden Arrows have made an addition to their technical team ahead of the new 2026/27 campaign, securing the services of goalkeeper coach Jacob Mokhasi.
Mokhasi joins the KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit from Marumo Gallants, where he was recently serving in the same capacity.
The arrival of the former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper comes at a time of transition for Abafana Bes’thende’s technical team for the upcoming season. The club is currently restructuring its entire backroom department. Head coach Manqoba Mngqithi and his assistants, Kagisho Dikgacoi and Musa Bilankulu, have cut ties with the club as their contracts expire at the end of June.
In the last term, the KZN outfit finished sixth on the Betway Premiership log standings. They managed to collect an impressive tally of 41 points from 30 outings.
JACOB MOKHASI SET TO ARRIVE IN DURBAN ON MONDAY
FARPost can reveal that Mokhasi has finalised all terms with the Durban side and is scheduled to touch down in the coastal city today, Monday, 22 June, to begin his new chapter.

Arrows are wasting no time in ensuring their technical structures are locked in early. The club’s pre-season preparations are scheduled to kick off later this week.
“Yes, my brother, he is joining Golden Arrows,” a reliable source close to the developments confirmed to FARPost. “He will be leaving Bloemfontein today for Durban to join up with the team for their pre-season.
In his playing days, Mokhasi represented teams such as African Warriors, SuperSport United, Pirates, Dedebit FC, and Black Leopards.
Mokhesi’s appointment is just the first puzzle piece in what promises to be a fresh-look technical team at Arrows. According to local reports, Pitso Dladla is heavily tipped to succeed Mngqithi at Arrows. Dladla won the Nedbank Cup with Durban City FC last season.
The 2026/27 Betway Premiership season is set to kick off on the weekend of 1–2 August, as first reported by FARPost. The incoming technical team will have roughly six weeks to shape their squad for the new campaign.
