Sekhukhune United have won the race to sign Black Leopards goal poacher Bethuel Muzeu, beefing up their striking force for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.

Muzeu has put pen to paper with Babina Noko as a free agent. This comes after the relegation of Leopards from the Motsepe Foundation Championship to the amateur ranks, the ABC Motsepe League.

Despite Lidoda Duvha’s relegation, the Namibian forward proved his scoring qualities after netting eight goals last season. In the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, he reached double figures, showcasing his natural finishing prowess.

Muzeu joined the Limpopo-based side back in July 2022 from Namibia club Tura Magic FC. He established himself as one of the best strikers in South African football despite playing in the lower division.

With most of the PSL clubs returning for pre-season this week, Muzeu will begin a new chapter with Sekhukhune under the leadership of former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze, who has taken over the coaching job ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The 26-year-old forward landed at OR Tambo International Airport from Namibia – Windhoek on Sunday night to begin life with Sekhukhune United as they are looking to compete for trophies next season. Sekhukhune beat AmaZulu FC, Stellenbosch FC, and Kruger United to the services of Muzeu.

FARPost understands that Muzeu signed a two-year contract with an option to renew for another year with Sekhukhune United. The highly-rated attacker is expected to play a key role in the club’s frontline, with Bradley Grobler rumoured to be heading out the exit door to link up with Gavin Hunt at Stellenbosch.

Muzeu is expected to join his Sekhukhune teammates on Monday for pre-season medicals. He will be looking to hit the ground running. The Namibian international will arrive alongside other new faces, including Nyiko Mobbie, Athenkosi Mcaba, Givemore Khupe, Palelo Mafuyeke and Samba O’Neil.

On Monday morning, Muzeu was part of the Sekhukhune at the Tshwane University of Technology, in Pretoria to complete routine medicals checks alongside his new teammates.
