Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC has strengthened its squad with the signing of Power Dynamos striker Moses Shumah for the upcoming 2026/27 season.
AmaZulu have wasted no time in landing one of Africa’s prolific strikers as they aim to build a squad capable of competing with big clubs such as Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, and Mamelodi Sundowns for trophies.
Usuthu is gunning for an improved showing in the next campaign after finishing fourth on the league table in the 2025/26 season and marginally missing out on the qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup spot.
AmaZulu lost the third position to Chiefs, with Sundowns finishing second on the log while Pirates clinched the league title.
After a decent run under the guidance of head coach Arthur Zwane, the KZN-based side is looking to build on last season’s resilient display and possibly fight for the league title and other domestic trophies.
In the previous season, AmaZulu collected 47 points after winning 13 games, drawing eight, and losing eight times in 30 league matches.
With the new season set to start in the first weekend of August, AmaZulu have moved swiftly to snap up the highly-rated striker Moses Shumah, sending a message of intent to rivals.
POWER DYNAMOS ANNOUNCE SHUMAH’S MOVE TO AMAZULU

The 23-year-old goal machine is joining AmaZulu after his former club, Power Dynamos, announced the transfer to South Africa’s top division side.
The Kenyan international joined Dynamos in July 2025 and netted 24 goals in his breakout season in all competitions and won the MTN Super League Golden Boot accolade. Shumba is leaving alongside Brian Masanyinga, who is joining the Zambia Police Service.
“Power Dynamos Football Club (PDFC) wishes to announce the departure of striker Moses Shumah and midfielder Brian Masanyinga from the club,” Dynamos said on social media.
“Shumah has completed a transfer to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side AmaZulu FC after the club reached an agreement with the Durban-based outfit. Although he had a year remaining on his contract, the striker has opted to join the South African outfit.
“Shumah joined Power Dynamos from Kakamega Homeboyz in July last year and enjoyed a breakthrough season at Arthur Davies Stadium, winning the MTN Super League Golden Boot after scoring 21 goals. He departs the Club having scored 23 goals in all competitions during his time with Power Dynamos.”
