After Washington Arubi, striker Prince Dube has become the latest former PSL star to head back to Zimbabwe, FARPost can reveal.

The influx of ex-Betway Premiership players returning to the rapidly improving Castle Lager Premier Soccer League has increased, particularly this year after the July transfer window opened.

It started with Khama Billiat in 2024, following an illustrious career at Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs. Billiat joined Yadah FC before moving to his current club Scottland FC.

Former Chiefs marksman Knowledge Musona and ex-Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United [now Siwelele FC] forward Terrence Dzvukamanja followed suit in July 2025, when they signed for Scottland FC.

On Monday, goalkeeper Arubi made the switch to CAPS United after his Marumo Gallants contract expired, concluding a 14-year stay in South Africa.

PRINCE DUBE JOINS HIGHLANDERS ON A TWO-YEAR CONTRACT

And now it’s Prince Dube, who starred for SuperSport United and Black Leopards FC between 2017 and 2019. The striker has joined Hardrock FC after a decent four-year stint in Tanzania between 2020 and 2024. He was unveiled on Thursday evening after signing a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old played for Azam SC and Young Africans SC, leaving Yanga when his contract expired on 30 June 2026. He departed on a high note after helping them secure a fifth consecutive NBC Premier League title.

Dube also scored in their final match of the 2025/26 season on Tuesday, a 3-0 win over JKT Tanzania, with Maxi Nzengeli and Clement Mzize also on target as Yanga wrapped up the campaign in style.

Yanga finished the season on 75 points, edging fierce rivals, Steve Barker’s Simba SC on 73 points. Azam FC and Singida Black Stars completed the top four.

Dube joins a club that has shaken the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League in its maiden season. Owned by Shepherd Chahwanda, Hardrock FC have been going toe to toe with Scottland FC, a side spurred on by Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat.

The Kwekwe-based side sit second on the log with 38 points, while Scotland lead with 43 points. Meanwhile, they have also acquired the services of former Ajax Cape Town [now Cape Town Spurs FC] defender Gerald Takwara.
