AmaZulu FC assistant coach Simo Dladla has parted ways with the club following the expiration of his contract ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 campaign.
Dladla served as the right-hand man to head coach Arthur Zwane during the 2025/26 season. The experienced tactician joined Usuthu in July 2025, arriving with high expectations after successfully guiding Durban City FC back to the Betway Premiership.
Dladla’s return to AmaZulu was a special one, having proudly donned the club’s green and white jersey during his playing days.
In the just-concluded season, the Zwane-Dladla technical combination steered the KwaZulu-Natal side to a fourth-place finish in the Betway Premiership, accumulating 47 points from 30 outings.
Usuthu missed out on the CAF Confederation Cup spot to Kaizer Chiefs, who finished the season in third position with 54 points after 30 games.

SIMO DLADLA’S FAREWELL MESSAGE TO AMAZULU FC
Following his exit, Dladla penned a farewell message to the Usuthu faithful and the club’s hierarchy, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the team.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to AmaZulu FC, the club President, the technical team, medical team, players, support staff, and the loyal supporters for giving me the opportunity to contribute to the team this season,” wrote Dladla on Instagram on Monday, 6 July 2026.
“We finished fourth on the log and successfully achieved all the targets set for the campaign. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of this journey.
“As my contract has now come to an end, I want to thank everyone at the club for their support, professionalism, and belief in me. The memories and experiences will always remain with me.
“Thank you once again to the entire AmaZulu family. I wish the club continued success in the future.”
