Prosport International agent Mike Makaab has responded to rumours linking former Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah with a sensational move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ndah is currently a free agent after parting ways with Stellenbosch FC, having spent the second round of the 2025/26 season with the Winelands-based side.
The Nigerian international had a short stint with Stellies after signing with the club in January 2026 as a free agent after leaving Pirates halfway through the previous season.
Before moving to the Western Cape, Ndah spent five seasons with the Sea Robbers after signing in August 2021 from Akwa United in the Nigerian top division.
In his spell with Pirates, Ndah showcased his impressive defensive qualities. The 28-year-old is known for his ambidextrous ball-playing abilities and imposing aerial presence.
At Pirates, Ndah had a successful stay after winning several domestic trophies, including four successive MTN8 titles. The dreadlocked centre-back registered 81 appearances across all competitions for the Soweto giants and scored one goal.
AGENT CONFIRMS SUNDOWNS’ INTEREST IN OLISA NDAH
Having proven to be one of the best centre-backs in Africa since arriving at Pirates, Ndah is linked with a major transfer to Masandawana for the 2026/27 season.
With rumours swirling over Ndah’s next move, his agent Mike Makaab has told FARPost that there is initial interest from the CAF Champions League reigning champions, but there is nothing finalised yet.
“There’s initial interest from Mamelodi Sundowns in Olisa Ndah, but I can tell you that nothing is finalised,” Makaab revealed to FARPost.
Should Downs get Ndah’s deal over the line, the experienced defender will compete with players such as Grant Kekana, Keanu Cupido, Mothobi Mvala, Malibongwe Khoza, Kegan Johannes, and Khulumani Ndamane for the centre-back position.
