Betway Premiership side Siwelele FC have announced a major squad shake-up with the exit of 12 first-team players ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Siwelele confirmed the departures on Tuesday morning as head coach Lehlohonolo Seema continues preparations for the highly-anticipated new season kicking off on the 1st of August 2026.
The Bloemfontein-based side is rebuilding its squad to compete with big clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, and Kaizer Chiefs for trophies.
Siwele are entering their second season in the SA top flight after purchasing SuperSport United’s status at the start of the previous campaign.

In their maiden season in the Premiership, Siwelele had an inconsistent run of form, which saw them miss out on finishing in the top eight on the league table. They closed off the 2025/26 season in 10th position on the log, just two points shy of a top-eight finish with 37 points in 30 games.
With the club gunning for an improved showing in their second season in the Betway Premiership, they have embarked on a mass clear-out with the departure of players such as Pogiso Sanoka, Neo Rapoo, Ghampani Lungu, Happy Mashiane, Gape Moralo, Lyle Lakay, Keanin Ayer, Lazola Maku, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Thabang Mahlangu, Bohlale Ngwato and Enoch Quaicoe.
Rapoo, Lungu, and Ngwato have all completed big moves to Pirates, while Moralo is reportedly on his way to join AmaZulu FC.
Meanwhile, Siwelele have signed Lesotho international goalkeeper Goitseone Phone, Thabiso Sesane, and Selaelo Rasebotja from the Buccaneers, while more new players are expected to arrive in the coming days.
In addition, Siwelele has taken a decisive step by roping in Musi Matlaba and Mario Masha, who previously worked with Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane, to beef up their technical team.
