Scottland FC forward Khama Billiat has described facing his former club Kaizer Chiefs in the Toyota Cup as โcrazy,โ but says his experience will do the talking at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng on Sunday afternoon.
Amakhosi host the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League champions in the third edition of this competition. After failing to win against Young Africans and Asante Kotoko in the past, Chiefs are aiming to clinch the Toyota Cup for the first time.
The Zimbabwean champions touched down in Rustenburg boasting a squad stacked with PSL familiarity, led by former Kaizer Chiefs stars Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona, along with ex-Orlando Pirates forward Terrence Dzvukamanja. Head coach Norman Mapeza previously managed Chippa United, skipper Walter Musona spent time at Polokwane City FC, and defender Kelvin Moyo also enjoyed a spell in Gqeberha.
With former Free State Stars goalkeeper Talbert Shumba also in the ranks, Scottland offer a wealth of South African footballing experience. They are expected to give Amakhosi a gruelling pre-season test as Fernando da Cruz puts the finishing touches on his preparations for the new campaign.

Having faced Chiefs several times during his time at Ajax Cape Town [renamed Cape Town Spurs] and Mamelodi Sundowns, Billiat again comes up against a team he once called home between 2018 and 2023. Now 35, the Zimbabwe international feels his experience can carry the day for Scottland on Sunday.
