Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Norwegian striker Sebastian Pedersen to beef up their attacking options for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
The Buccaneers have recently wrapped up their pre-season camp in Spain in preparation for the highly-anticipated 2026/27 season.
Pirates have been one of the most active clubs in the current transfer window, beefing up their squad in a bid to defend the league title and compete in the CAF Champions League.
So far, the Soweto giants have signed Gamphani Lungu, Mthetheleli Mthiyane, Sbangani Zulu, Bohlale Ngwato, Neo Rapoo, and Matome Mmolai to bolster their squad.
The new arrivals formed part of the intense pre-season activities in Spain to prepare the team for the big challenge ahead.
Pirates played friendlies against top European opponents to give head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou a much-needed opportunity to assess the readiness of his players for the upcoming campaign.
With the new season kicking off next weekend, Pirates have added 27-year-old forward Pedersen to their squad to bring firepower in attack. They made the announcement on Sunday evening.

The Sea Robbers snapped up Pedersen, who is strengthening the club’s front line after their strikers struggled for consistent scoring form last season.
Pirates currently have Yanela Mbuthuma, Evidence Makgopa, Boitumelo Radiopane and Sifiso Luthuli competing for the position to lead the striking department.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of striker Sebastian Pedersen from Norwegian side Sogndal Fotball,” reads the club statement.
“The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with the Club holding an option to extend for a further season.
“He becomes the newest addition to Abdeslam Ouaddou’s squad as the Buccaneers prepare for a competitive season ahead.
“Pedersen arrives from one of Norwegian football’s great talent factories. The blonde bomber is cut from that cloth, having featured at junior national team level from Under-15 all the way to U-21.
“In terms of his style of play, Pedersen is a one-touch finisher rather than a bulldozer. He has recorded 51 goals in the last 117.”
