Newly promoted Betway Premiership side Kruger United have completed the signing of Cape Town City FC winger Heaven Sereetsi, FARPost can reveal.
The Mpumalanga outfit continues to strengthen its squad ahead of its maiden season in the Betway Premiership.
Sereetsi becomes one of the club’s new acquisitions after attracting interest from several clubs locally and abroad. FARPost had previously reported that AmaZulu FC, Tanzanian giants Simba SC and Young Africans SC, as well as clubs in North Africa, were monitoring the talented attacker.
However, Kruger United won the race for the winger, with the deal now completed. This publication has established that the 22-year-old successfully completed his medical examinations on Monday after all the necessary paperwork was finalised.
Sereetsi is now expected to link up with his new teammates this week as Kruger United step up preparations for their Betway Premiership opener against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
They host Amakhosi in the opener set for Mbombela Stadium on Saturday. Sereetsi had been keen on returning to the Betway Premiership after Cape Town City’s relegation and their failure to secure an immediate return to the top flight through the promotion/relegation play-offs. Kruger United’s ambitious project proved attractive to the player, who is expected to play a key role in the club’s attacking setup this season.

The Village Boys have already strengthened their defence with the arrivals of Katlego Mohamme and Kwanda Mngonyama. In attack, they have brought in Thabang Sibanyoni from Magesi FC, while also securing goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari from Kaizer Chiefs and academy prospect Vicky Mkhawana.
The former North-West University star joined Cape Town City in 2024 after emerging as one of the country’s brightest talents in university football. He made his name in the Varsity Football competition and the North West ABC Motsepe League, where he was named Best Player, before earning his move to the Mother City.
Since turning professional, the winger has accumulated more than 35 appearances across the Betway Premiership and the Motsepe Foundation Championship. His departure follows the transfer of Jaedin Rhodes to Austrian Bundesliga outfit SV Ried.
