Polokwane City FC head coach Willy Moloto has broken his silence on the future of Simon Ramabu, setting the record straight on the club’s firm stance regarding the want-away winger.
Ramabu has been a key player for the Betway Premiership side in recent years and has reportedly attracted interest from local clubs and abroad. As FARPost reported earlier this month, the 27-year-old has not returned for pre-season training with the rest of his teammates at PLK City.
This comes as the player continues to push for a move away from Polokwane City, despite the club reportedly triggering an option to extend his contract.

The player has refused to train and was one of the notable absentees during the Mafori Cup match against Sekhukhune United at the Seshego Stadium last Saturday.
However, coach Moloto offered a contrasting account, maintaining that Ramabu is still part of the PLK City squad and currently dealing with a personal family issue.
“Simon [Ramabu] is one of the players that I brought into the team,” said Moloto. “But there are lots of talks regarding Simon. But he has a lot of family problems that he had to attend to. He is a player that I am also close to in terms of being a father figure.
“So he is someone that, in the new season, you guys will see participating in the team. He is still part of the team; there are no changes with him. You know players are going through a lot, and sometimes as a team we need to give them that support.
“There are also issues in the media and people talking about him. But also, some people hack his [social media] accounts and say things. “He is still young and needs guidance. So he is a player that needs our support and we are giving him the support.”
