Former Stellenbosch FC forward Devin Titus has opened up on his time at the club following his move to reigning Moroccan Botola Pro champions MAS Fรจs.
Titus was unveiled by MAS Fรจs on Sunday where he is set to join former Orlando Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa.
His six-year spell at the Betway Premiership side came to an end after MAS Fรจs activated the buy-out clause in his contract.
The 25-year-old leaves Stellies with 36 goals in 176 appearances and is ranked second in both the clubโs all-time appearances and goalscorersโ lists. He also scored in his last game for the club during the 3-3 draw against Polokwane City FC on 11 August.
FORMER STELLENBOSCH FC FORWARD BIDS FAREWELL TO THE CLUB
โItโs an emotional feeling for me to leave Stellenbosch FC,โ Titus told the Stellenbosch FC website. โStellenbosch is the team that gave me the opportunity to become a professional footballer, and I will always be grateful for that, but I am excited to join MAS Fes.
โThey are the Moroccan champions, and one of the biggest clubs in Africa, so Iโm excited to experience a new challenge and test myself at this level.”

He added: โThere will never be a right or perfect time to leave a club like Stellenbosch, but it has always been important for me that if I left, I would do it after leaving the club in a better position.”
DEVIN TITUS EXPLAINS WHY HE COULDNโT LEAVE THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP CLUB LAST SEASON
โWeโve achieved incredible things together, and last season, I couldnโt just leave because we were fighting against relegation at one point, so it was important for me to stay and help the team, and I believe that I have done that.
โNow, it will be my first time playing outside of the Betway Premiership, so itโs a chance for me to feel what itโs like to play in a different country, to play in the [CAF] Champions League, and to compete at the highest level in African football, and, hopefully, I am able to carry the flag abroad.โ
