Kgomotso Mosadi has found a new home after agreeing to join Motsepe Foundation Championship side Orbit College FC following his departure from Magesi FC, FARPost has learnt.
FARPost understands that the attacking midfielder has signed a one-year contract with Orbit, with an option for a further year.
Mosadi was spotted at Orbit’s training on Tuesday as the club prepares for its 2026/27 Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign. They were relegated from the Betway Premiership last season and are looking to bounce back to the top flight.
The move brings an end to Mosadi’s stay at Magesi after just one season with the Limpopo-based club. The 27-year-old attacker was among Magesi’s regulars during their maiden Betway Premiership campaign, making 27 appearances across all competitions last season.
He contributed three goals and one assist as Magesi battled for survival before ultimately suffering relegation to the second tier. His departure from Magesi came after the two parties reached a mutual agreement to part ways following the club’s relegation. He now returns to the second tier, where he previously enjoyed one of his most productive seasons.
MOSADI’S EXPERIENCE COULD PROVE IMPORTANT
Before joining Magesi, Mosadi spent the 2023/24 campaign at the University of Pretoria, scoring 11 goals in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He was on loan at AmaTuks from Sekhukhune United at the time, having joined Babina Noko in August 2023 following an impressive spell at Casric Stars.
Mosadi had attracted attention during his time at Casric, particularly after his performances in the Nedbank Cup. He finished the 2022/23 league campaign with 12 goals in 29 appearances for the Mpumalanga-based side, earning a move to Sekhukhune.
His first season in the top flight, however, proved difficult, as he struggled to reproduce the form that had made him one of the standout players in the second tier. He made 16 appearances across all competitions for Sekhukhune without finding the back of the net.
After rebuilding his confidence at AmaTuks and establishing himself in the top flight with Magesi, Mosadi will now look to make an impact at Orbit as the club prepares for the new Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign.
His Premiership experience could prove valuable for Orbit as they look to strengthen their squad and compete at the top end of the second tier.
