Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United continue to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign after roping in high-profile duo King Ndlovu and Mondli Mpoto, FARPost can reveal.

Mpoto, who became a free agent following the relegation of Baroka FC, had already been training with Gomora over the past two weeks to stay fit.

The former Royal AM, Bloemfontein Celtic, and SuperSport United shot-stopper spent just a single campaign with Bakgaga before their ultimate demotion to the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.

FARPost has now established that the 28-year-old goalkeeper has signed on the dotted line for the 2026/27 campaign. He forms an essential part of the travelling squad that is set to make the journey to the Northern Cape for their opening league match against Hungry Lions on Saturday.

This publication has further gathered that former Marumo Gallants and Black Leopards goalkeeper King Ndlovu has also linked up with the club in a dual player-coach capacity. Ndlovu, who famously gained national attention as a ball boy during the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, had been unattached since parting ways with Pretoria Callies in 2025.

The experienced 33-year-old steps into Gomora United’s technical setup, where he is set to serve as both the first-team goalkeeper coach and a reliable backup keeper.

He joins a vibrant technical crew that features former Orlando Pirates left-back Patrick Phungwayo as head coach. Furthermore, former Dondol Stars mentor Rammoni has been roped in as an assistant alongside Lesego Manganyi.

Meanwhile, former Marumo Gallants and Sekhukhune United left-back Lebogang Mabotja has also resurfaced at Gomora. The veteran defender officially parted ways with Gallants at the close of last season.

FARPost understands that both parties remain locked in ongoing contract negotiations. Mabotja brings immense experience, having previously turned out for clubs like Black Leopards, TTM, and Baroka FC.
