Former Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah has secured a fresh start abroad, putting pen to paper with Libyan side Al Shomooa SC on a free transfer after severing ties with Stellenbosch FC.
The highly-rated defender found a new home in North Africa after spending the past few months as a free agent after parting ways with Stellies at the end of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
Ndah had a short spell with the Winelands-based side after signing with the club in the 2026 January transfer window following his exit from Pirates.
The centre-back had a challenging six-month stint with Stellenbosch after struggling for regular game time under head coach Gavin Hunt.
After not fitting into Hunt’s plans, Ndah parted ways with Stellenbosch in June to explore other career options. During his stay with Stellenbosch, the 28-year-old made seven appearances.
Before moving to Libya, Ndah was linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns in the current transfer window; however, the deal did not materialise.

With Ndah looking to return to competitive action, he has signed with Libyan side Al Shomooa to continue his career outside the Premier Soccer League [PSL].
FARPost understands that the Nigerian international signed a one-year deal with Al Shomooa with an option to renew for another season.
Ndah initially arrived in South Africa to join Pirates in 2021 from Akwa United. He made 81 appearances across all competitions for the Sea Robbers, winning major trophies, including four successive MTN8 titles.
At Pirates, Ndah battled with persistent injuries that kept him out of the matchday squad, although the experienced defender has since returned to full fitness and he’s ready to compete.
